The double slit experiment shows that light and even tiny particles like electrons behave like both waves and particles. When light passes through two slits, it creates an interference pattern of bright and dark lines, just like water waves do. Surprisingly, even if you shoot electrons one by one, they still make a wavelike pattern over time. But when you observe which slit the electron goes through, the wave pattern disappears. It behaves like a particle instead.

This means that just watching the experiment changes the result. It reveals the strange nature of quantum physics. Particles can act like waves and observation affects reality.
